Samsung confirms Galaxy Note 10's powerful camera innovation
The highly anticipated smartphone could feature extensive AI powering camera software.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 launch is just a couple of weeks away and even though most of its features are already common knowledge, a few surprises are still coming in. Thanks to a patent discovered by LetsGoDigital, the upcoming flagship will feature more AI powering the camera software.
As per reports, a trademark application for Smart ISO and AI ISO on class 9 devices has been filed. LetsGoDigital states, “The applications for AI-ISO and Smart ISO are categorized as Class 9. Both include the following description; 'cameras, smartphones, camera sensors, software for the image sensor'. From the name, it can be seen that Samsung intends to improve the ISO sensitivity range of the camera and make it smarter. 'AI' of course stands for Artificial Intelligence or Artificial Intelligence with self-learning ability.”
As of now, there is no real information on this but it could indicate that there will be a boost to the automata mode that’s loved by casual users of the camera on their smartphones. By adjusting the ISO considering the prevalent lighting conditions and subject matter, users should expect a substantial boost in low-light photography on the Galaxy Note 10. Apart from this, they could also achieve better daylight shots.
A related report by Forbes states, “Reading this new information alongside previous articles regarding new trademarks, it’s becoming clear that Samsung is going to lean heavily into the photography stakes to push the Galaxy Note 10. That’s a curious choice for a device that has traditionally been seen as a focus on being a business and enterprise first device.”
