This is Sony Xperia 1 - the world's first 21:9 4K OLED HDR display smartphone

Some analysts have said Sony should sell the smartphone business given acute price competition with Asian rivals.

Among other global firsts, Sony unveiled its new flagship smartphone, Xperia 1, at the MWC 2019.

The Sony Xperia 1 is the world’s first smartphone a 4K OLED HDR display; a perfect gadget for binge-watchers and gamers. It is also the first smartphone with eye autofocus tracking.

Xperia 1 features a 6.5-inch 21:9 display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, 3,300mAh battery, and a side fingerprint reader.

As for the camera, it is equipped with 12-megapixel triple cameras at the back that includes a combination of 16mm wide-angle sensor, 26mm normal view sensor, and a 52mm telephoto lens sensor.

Sony is yet to announce the pricing of its Xperia 1.
