Apple’s iPhone 12 is a still a while away and even though it will be introduced in September of 2020; the leaks and rumours are pouring in which gives us a fair idea of what to expect when it launches.

As of now, there has been extremely little in terms of leaked renders but concept creators are using their genius to put together stunning videos of the iPhone 12. And this is where the latest video comes in.

An artist has imagined the 2020 iPhone with an in-display Face ID sensor, a fourth camera lens and a body that’s reminiscent of the iPhone 5; a design that’s universally loved. This video is a perfect rendition of the stipulated features of the iPhone 12 and it was created by Pallav Raj for ConceptsiPhone.

Concept videos are great for showcasing different ideas that we wish to feature on the iPhones; however, most of the concept videos lack an acquaintance with reality. What Raj has done is completely different and he has taken a realistic approach with this concept design.

Earlier this year, Ming-Chi Kuo had stated that the 2020 iPhone will take inspiration from the iPhone 4 and this concept video is a step closer as it has an iPhone 5 resemblance to it. However, the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 both came with squared-off edges so this could be similar to what Apple has in store for us this year.

As for the additional camera lens, ConceptsiPhone claims that this will be a “quad-camera system with new 16MP sensors and 3D Depth Camera.” Various leaks have suggested that Apple will be using a 3D sensor in the upcoming iPhone that will be launched next year.

With that being said, an in-display Face ID sensor is more of a fantasy than an actual feature and it will most likely happen one day; just not in 2020. As of now, there is no technology that’s been made available to suggest that it will happen; so, expect a notch to feature once more on the iPhone.

However, the biggest misstep here is Raj’s inclusion of LTE and not 5G; which is expected to be the major selling point of the upcoming iPhone.
