Huawei launches Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus with dual camera
Both smartphones are the successors to Nova and Nova Plus which were launched in September last year.
Huawei’s online store, VMall has listed company’s latest mid-range smartphones, the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus. Both smartphones are the successors to Nova and Nova Plus which were launched in September last year.
Both smartphones sports a dual camera setup on the rear panel and borrow its design features from the flagship P series. The rear panel of the phones have a smoother look and retains the fingerprint sensor. Moreover, Huawei changed the design of antenna lines on the back and placed a dual-lens setup on both the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus.
Both smartphones come equipped with a 20MP front camera, while the rear dual camera setup consists of a 12MP and an 8MP sensor with optical zoom and portrait mode that also has the ability to capture depth information.
The smartphones feature 2.5D curved glass on the front with the Nova 2 sporting a 5-inch display, while the Nova 2 Plus housing a 5.5-inch screen. Both run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and will go on sale starting June 16 in China
The Nova 2 is fuelled by a 2950mAh battery, while the Nova 2 Plus draws power from a 3,340mAh battery. The phones run octa-core Kirin 659 chipsets, replacing last year’s Snapdragon 625 chip.
The Huawei Nova 2 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB (expandable up to 128GB) of internal storage with a price tag of $365 (approx Rs 23,500), while the while the Nova 2 Plus has the same RAM capacity with 128GB of memory onboard and a price of $420 (approx Rs 27,000).
