BlackBerry’s twitter handle has posted a video which gives us a glimpse of the upcoming device. It shows off the rear panel of the smartphone which is closely similar to the already available KEY2. And, it reads ‘IFA Berlin 2018’ at the end which clears all our doubts now.
The BlackBerry KEY2 LE is expected to come with design and build similar to its expensive sibling. It will also retain similar features with slight distinctions only make it more affordable than the pricey KEY2.
When it gets launched, it will probably fall in the mid-range smartphone segment. The higher-end variant has been priced heftily which contributed to the low sales of the smartphone. The company might be aiming to cover the loss with the new affordable QWERTY keypad device.
Earlier reports suggested that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset which will mostly be paired with a 4GB RAM along with options of either 32GB or 64GB internal memory. The KEY2 gets Snapdragon 660 under the hood. The battery is also speculated to be trimmed down from 3500mAh to 3000mAh which is small as compared to what others offer.
