The latest OnePlus 8 leaks show an exciting handset.

OnePlus is expected to release the OnePlus 8 in the first half of 2020 and they will follow their traditional release cycle by launching a handset every six months. The OnePlus 7T is a great handset for anyone who was on an older device apart from the OnePlus 7; however, the OnePlus 8 is going to have a lot of features that will make it a truly revolutionary product that the geekerati will absolutely lap up.

With the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, the latest leaks showcase a host of features that will completely drive sales of the China-based smartphone manufacturer. Here are some of the best features that are expected in next year’s OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro handsets.

The biggest upgrade here is the new front-facing camera. The previous generation OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T Pro come equipped with a small teardrop-notch display while the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro come with a motorized pop-up selfie camera. From leaked schematics, both the regular and Pro OnePlus 8 models will move to punch-hole displays with a single lens cut-out on the OnePlus 8 and a dual-lens cut-out on the OnePlus 8 Pro. This will be the biggest design change here.

As far as optics are concerned, the OnePlus 8 will feature a triple-lens setup; however, now, a time-of-flight sensor will be used here to enhance the 3D sensing capabilities and allow for additional augmented reality features to be used.

The third enhancement here will be the Pro model moving up from a 90Hz display to a 120Hz screen. A range of gaming handsets already come with such speedy refresh rates and if OnePlus wants to remain at the top, including this is a must. Also, Apple and Samsung are also expected to feature 120Hz displays; so, OnePlus adding it as well makes complete sense.

Lastly, OnePlus could finally add wireless charging on their handsets after putting it off for quite a while. OnePlus has in the past maintained that wireless charging is slower than its wired WarpCharge feature; however, if leaks are true, then OnePlus has finally added a chassis for wireless charging so this could be a possibility as well.
