Tecno unveils range of smartphones with notch display

Tecno announces the new range of “Made in India” smartphones under its Camon portfolio as it has launched three new smartphones — Camon iAIR2+, Camon i2 and Camon i2X priced at Rs 8,999,  Rs 10,499 and Rs 12,499, respectively.

The trio smartphone is equipped with a twin camera setup which is an integration of a 13MP main rear camera using f/1.8 aperture and f/2.4 aperture on the secondary rear camera. The smartphones boast of AI-based Auto Scene Detection (ASD) feature for auto-detection of scene details like lighting condition, brightness etc. This is accompanied by the AI Bokeh mode.

Moving onto the selfie camera of the smartphone, first, the AI soft light enables users to get a clearer selfie under low-light conditions. The camera can shoot in Portrait mode, and applies Bokeh effects and it also offers AI enabled Beauty Mode. Finally, the smartphone also supports adjustable Video Chat Flash to help the user make video calls under low light conditions.

The new Camon portfolio brings in 6.2-inch HD+ screen with 19:9 Super Full view notched display. With 2.5D curved edges, 88 per cent screen-to-body ratio, slim bezels and 7.9mm thickness, the smartphones are said to look exquisite.

The devices also feature dual SIM, dual VoLTE with 4G VoLTE services on both SIM simultaneously. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor as well as AI face unlock.  Also, it comes with 3-in-1 card slot wherein you can put dual Nano SIMs along with a dedicated SD card which is expandable up to 128GB.

The Camon smartphones come with a 3750mAh battery capacity. Once fully charged it is claimed to provide 2-day battery life on a single charge. Moreover, the battery comes with AI power management which tracks the consumer usage pattern of the smartphone and optimizes the battery life according to the usage.
