Apart from the new notch design, the alleged G6 Plus seems to be running an almost stock build of Android and will host up to two SIM cards.

Chinese smartphone manufacturers tend to catch up on trends pretty quickly, with some even introducing new ones to the market as well. OPPO has now popularised the smaller water drop-style notch with its recent flagships and it seems that certain other companies are heading for that approach. Motorola seems to be one of them and they could be doing that with their extremely popular G series smartphones.

According to leaked photos obtained by Slashleaks, Motorola could be implementing a water drop style notch on the display. The new notch design liberates more screen space while only hosting the front camera sensor in the middle. Since the G series is meant for budget consumers, the notch isn’t as small as OPPO’s F9 Pro. Nonetheless, it’s smaller than most similarly priced notch-based smartphones.

Apart from the new notch design, the alleged G6 Plus seems to be running an almost stock build of Android and will host up to two SIM cards. The rear of the phone reveals a glass body that already debuted on the current G series models, with the Moto dimple now housing the fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is also shown in a new Red colour variant, which is now the trend of the market.

However, Motorola already sells a smartphone in several markets by the name of Moto G6 Plus, which makes us suspicious of the device. If the leaks belong to the real device, then Motorola could be readying the G6S Plus for selected markets. The G6S Plus could be a huge upgrade from the G6 Plus, comprising of a powerful processor and better cameras.
