Next Motorola phone will sport a notch
Leaks suggest that the Motorola One Power will sport an iPhone X-influenced design and dual rear cameras.
The budget smartphone market is full of smartphones comprising of modern narrow-bezel 18:9 display — a feature that was introduced to the market by last year’s flagship smartphones. However, since Apple introduced the notched display design for its iPhone X, several premium Android phones have started featuring the same. It now seems that Motorola will be one of the first ones to bring the notched display design to the budget smartphone segments — thanks to their upcoming Android One offering.
Android Headlines has uncovered leaked images of what could be Motorola’s next offering for the Android One lineup from its stable. Expected to be called the Motorola One Power, the device is seen sporting ultra-narrow bezels at the front with a notch sitting on top. The notch appears to be as big as the one on the iPhone X and a slim chin accompanies it at the bottom. The chin also carries the Motorola branding — a first for the company after taken over by Lenovo. The rear seems to sport a dual camera setup aligned vertically, according to the market trends. The fingerprint sensor sits on the rear panel in the famous Moto dimple. The phone appears to be running on a stock Android build, particularly of the Android One series.
While the leak doesn’t mention any specifications yet, we assume that this could be built around the latest midrange Snapdragon 636 as the present day Android One device from Motorola is powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC. However, it could be aimed at the premium midrange segment where the Moto X4 is presently sitting. Do note that these are still leaks and there could be a possibility of this being fake, which is why you should take this with a grain of salt.
