Nokia 9.1 PureView features leak and it's going to be power-packed
The upcoming flagship will come with Snapdragon 855, 5G and improved cameras.
The Nokia 9 PureView has only just launched in India and although it boasts a huge price tag, it comes with features that aren’t up to par with Android rivals that are launching in recent times. Now, out of nowhere, news about the Nokia 9 PureView’s successor has just been leaked and it’s going to be a power-packed device.
The Nokia 9.1 PureView is the working name of the Nokia 9 PureView’s successor and it will come with an updated SoC, as HMD Global wants to right all the wrongs it made with the first handset. As per a report by NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia 9.1 PureView was expected to launch in Q3 2019; however, HMD has decided that the handset needs a bit more work on its camera capabilities and avoid the same mistakes it made with the previous generation.
The report adds that HMD is working closely with Light for the optimization and development of the camera module and its software. The major selling points of the upcoming handset are expected to be excellent nighttime photography and video recording capabilities. Lastly, the handset will also come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC that supports 5G connectivity. As far as the design goes, it will come with a punch-hole camera cutout for the front camera; similar to the Nokia X71. Also, since it will launch in the latter half of 2019, it will come with Android Q out of the box.
