A new patent by Apple Inc suggests that the iPhones might get a LED logo on the back which would double up as the brand’s signature Apple logo on the rear.

The patent mentions a transparent layer on the back of the phone which can change the appearance of the light illuminated by the logo. Another control circuitry helps adjust the appearance when the phone will receive calls or notifications.

The feature was once a part of Apple’s Macbooks. Interestingly while the Macbooks ditched the feature, it could make its way to the new iPhones. But while we’re on that point, it is noteworthy to mention that this is only a patent as of now and there is no guarantee that it would actually be implemented on future iPhones.
