Oppo F9 Pro with VOOC charging and a redesigned notch is on the way
The brand has teased the arrival of the handset on their official page.
Earlier, Oppo had teased the arrival of the F9 on its official page and the smartphone manufacturer is back at it again with them teasing the F9 Pro. There are a couple of takeaways from this image and with it we can see a newly designed notch.
Oppo is aiming to redesign the notch when it launches the F9 Pro and instead of keeping it with the regular design, they have designed it to look like a triangle, this would help in giving the display a higher screen-to-body ratio. Also, the brand has teased VOOC charging capabilities and with it, you will be able to get two hours of talk time with a quick five-minute charge.
For those not in the know, VOOC is Oppo’s fast charging technology and it is usually found on their upper-end handsets. VOOC charging supports a total output of 20W and it can fill half the battery in a mere 30 minutes.
From the teaser image, we can also see the almost non-existent side bezels and a bottom bezel that’s not too chunky. The rear of the handset features a dual-camera setup although as of now, we do not know the exact configuration. Another thing that is not yet known is if the handset will come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor or an in-display scanner.
However, if Oppo is teasing this handset, the wait for an official announcement may not be too long.
