The plus variant of the Galaxy Note 10 is also expected to come with a larger display.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will come with some insane specifications that will put it head and shoulders above the competition. With every passing day, a new leak pops up which proves that Samsung isn’t holding back its punches with its upcoming flagship. The latest bit of information comes via Android tipster Ishan Agarwal and he claims that the handset will come with best in class water resistance.

As per the tweet, Agarwal states, “All Samsung Galaxy Note10 Series phones will have the Super Fast Wireless & Wired Charging. Also, it will have a new IP69 Water Resistant Rating. The main 12MP will have f/1.5 as the lowest aperture. The display of Non-Plus is indeed FHD+ and not QuadHD”

While the tweet pertains to several notable features about the device, the standout feature is undoubtedly the Ingress Protection rating which is IP69 and not many smartphones currently available come with this feature. Apple’s iPhones and Samsung’s Galaxy S10 flagships all feature above average water resistance but it is nothing in comparison to what the Galaxy Note 10 will boast.

For those not in the know, a smartphone’s IP rating pertains to its dust and water resistance. The first number in this case 6 pertains to its ability to withstand dust and that’s the maximum a smartphone can go. The last digit addresses water and having a resistance of 9 is something that’s not common on smartphones yet. This will put it head and shoulders above the competition as most flagship smartphones out there come with an IP68 rating.

A related report by Tom’s Guide states, “The IP69 rating doesn't mean the Note 10 would be able to last any longer in a deeper amount of water. Rather, it refers to a devices ability to stand up to high-pressure, high-temperature water. Generally, an IP69 rating indicates that devices can withstand heavier washdown procedures. That doesn't sound particularly practical for a smartphone, other than to reinforce the idea that the Note 10 should be able to endure whatever you throw at it in your daily life. You should still probably invest in a Galaxy Note case, though.”

Other notable features mentioned by Agarwal are on par with what has been leaking over the last few months. The Note 10 series will come with super-fast wireless and wired charging and it could support 45W charging. It isn’t yet known if Samsung would bundle an adapter in the packaging that will help with these quick charging speeds. The tweet also speaks about the 12MP primary camera and it will feature a variable aperture with it being the widest at F/1.5.

Lastly, Agarwal points out that Note 10 will come with an FHD+ display and it will be a disappointment in comparison with the 1440 x 2960 resolution that is available on the Note9. Reports also mention that Samsung will be adding a QHD+ resolution on its Galaxy Note 10+ handset.
