Sony launches Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XA1 Plus at IFA 2017

Sony has unveiled its Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XA1 Plus smartphones at IFA 2017. These smartphones come with some noteworthy features such as MotionEye camera with 3D-image sensing, Hi-Res audio, HDR display. The Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact will be selling at a price of $699.99 (approx Rs. 45,000) and $599.99 (approx Rs 38,500) respectively in the US market. The pricing for the Xperia A1 Plus is yet to be announced.
Sony Xperia Z1
The Xperia Z1 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution comprising of Sony's Triluminous display and X-Reality technology. The screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB. It features a fingerprint sensor incorporated in the home button.
It comes equipped with a Motion Eye 19-megapixel Exmor RS sensor camera which is equivalent to company’s Alpha and Cyber-shot cameras. The camera is capable of capturing 4K videos and slow-motion video at 960fps.
The smartphone draws power from a 2700mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The device is also water and dust resistant with an IP68 certification.
Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact
The Xperia XZ1 Compact shares the specs under the hood as the Xperia Z1 with same SoC, RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. The smartphone packs a Triluminous 4.6-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.
Optics wise, the smartphone has the similar 13MP ear camera as the Xperia XZ1. However, for selfies there is an 18MP snapper with an aperture of f/2.4, along with 120-degree field of view. It has 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. Rest other features are same as the Xperia Z1.
Sony Xperia A1 Plus
The Xperia A1 Plus is a mid range smartphone that sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 SoC backed by 4GB of RAM and Mali T-880 MP2 GPU.
The highlight of the phone is its 23MP rear camera with hybrid autofocus and 24mm wide-angle f/2.0 aperture lens. It also boasts an 8MP front facing shooter. It has 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3420mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 2.0+.
