The handset flaunts a 6.41-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie with OxygenOS on top. The main USP of the smartphone is its in-display fingerprint sensor. OnePlus is calling this new technology as 'Screen Unlock.' The company claims that the smartphone can be unlocked in 0.34 seconds through Screen Unlock.

Optics wise, the company is touting its improved camera performance in terms of low light photography. The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup, comprising of a 16MP primary Sony IMX 519 sensor and an f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP f/1.7 secondary Sony IMX 376K sensor. The setup is supported by a dual-LED flash. It is also capable to shoot Super Slow Motion videos (1080p at 240fps and 720p at 480fps). The cameras are equipped with both Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). For selfies, there is a 16MP f/2.0 Sony IMX 371 sensor. The front camera also supports EIS.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS and Type-C port with Fast Charge. Sadly, there's no 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset will be available in Mirror Black and Midnight Black colour options.
