Google’s Pixel launch event is expected to take place on October 4.
Reports of Google’s plans to drop the Nexus branding have been surfacing for quite some time now. Rumours suggest they will be replacing the brand with ‘Pixel,’ which the company has used for previous tablets and Chromebook devices.
Furthermore, Google is expected to unveil two smartphones under this flagship. One, with a 5-inch display, while the other with a slightly bigger screen of 5.5-inch (XL). These devices are expected to be powered by the Android Nougat platform and they are also likely to be the first to widely adopt the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chip.
The launch is expected to take place on October 4 and the devices will be available for sale thereafter.
