Amrita Rao takes a jewelled turn

Amrita Rao will be making her television debut with NDTV Goodtimes Jaipur Jewelry show. The lifestyle show will see her introducing viewers to exquisite jewellery from the region. The actress clarifies that she doesn’t plan to move to TV permanently.

Amrita says, “I’ve always been a fan of gold but with this show I’m getting to explore lesser known Indian heritage jewellery, which is why I agreed. I will be interacting with jewellers and visionaries from the field and that sounded exciting to me. I choose my projects very carefully. So I’m not sure if I will take up more TV shows. Besides I have some films in the pipeline that will be announced soon, so that will keep me busy, after the show.”

Moving on to life off-screen, reports of her having married a radio jockey have been doing the rounds for a while now. But Amrita insists it’s not true. “This is the fourth time that stories of my marriage are doing the rounds. I don’t pay attention to them.”
