Tamanna lead actor Deepak Wadhwa is setting an example of sorts by opting for public transport to beat the Mumbai traffic. Deepak stays in Andheri and has to commute to Mira Road daily to report on the sets of his show. Deepak boards the crowded Virar local instead of his car. When we contacted him, Deepak said, “My shoots are usually in the morning and we end up shooting for almost the entire day. It gets very taxing by the end of it. I don’t like to drive in the morning, as the roads are crammed. When I pack up from the shoot, I am too drained to drive back home. So I choose to commute by public transport and have my peace of mind instead of being stuck in a traffic jam for eternity.”
Using the pubic transport isn’t a new exercise for the actor. He tells us that he opts for a bus or train even when he decides to take a trip to Goa. He says, “I prefer using the bus or train. It helps me stay grounded, and also gives me an opportunity to connect with people.”
