After his last show Beintehaa wrapped up, Harshad Arora had disappeared from the scene. The actor is said to have refrained from taking up projects because they weren’t “exciting enough”. But when producer Farhan Salaruddin approached him with a script, he happily green signalled the project. He says, “Farhan thinks I am his lucky mascot. Secondly, I was intrigued when Farhan sir narrated the script to me. I knew in that moment that I wanted to be part of Dahleez. There is lot of drama in the show. It’s a love story based in the political scenario of Delhi. Everything is shot in real crowded locations. The show had good director, good actors, and a fantastic script. There is focus on the quality. So what more could I ask for ”

The actor will be seen playing an IAS officer, Adarsh in the show. The new character seems contrastingly different from the previous one he played on screen. Point it out to the actor and he says, “My previous character, Zain Abdullah, had an immature approach towards things. He was flamboyant and callous but good hearted. In Dahleez you will see matured and a true-to-himself character.” He continues, “I observed the mannerisms of bureaucrats closely to make this character as realistic as possible. We have tried our best to stick to reality. I hope people really relate to it and appreciate and enjoy what we have created.”
