After winning Nach Baliye with partner Asha Negi, Rithvik Dhanjani has been crowned winner one more time for the reality show I Can Do That. The telly star beat Gurmeet Choudhary, Madhurima Tuli, Gauahar Khan to win the title. We caught up with him for a chat. Excerpts:
What was going through your mind when you won I Can Do That I was completely blank when I won the show. It is yet to sink in because the show was just so difficult! I have worked hard for the show; I wanted my hard work to pay off. But I didn’t know if I would go on to win. And when I won, I was wondering if it is actually happening — it felt like a dream!
Which was your toughest act on the show and why There were two really difficult acts — the aerial trapeze act and the one for the semi finale — where I had dancers mounting on my shoulders and hands. Being an actor, you cannot afford to hurt yourself because of injuries. Wasn’t it risky to perform such stunts Yes, it is risky and there are fears of injuries but I believe that God’s given you just one life and if you don’t live it to the fullest, you will regret it the day you go out of this world, thinking I wish I had done that. Very few people get the chance to perform on a trapeze or do magic on stage like I did. I think one should never let go of these opportunities for fear of injuries. Where do we see you next I will be immediately seen next on India’s Best Dramebaaz with my friend Ravi Dubey. What do you feel about Asha taking on Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyan Asha was wanting to do a good fiction show for a while now and then this show came to her. I know she can never go wrong with Ekta’s show. Nobody can go wrong with Star Plus and Ekta together. The last time this combination came together was for Kasautii Zindagii Kay. When Ekta decided that she wanted to replace the main cast, I am sure she had something in mind for the new cast. I completely trust Ekta’s instincts. If she thought Asha was fit for the show, she has to take it up. Asha’s taken the right decision and I feel the show will do very well.
