Kinshuk Mahajan, known to play lovable, positive characters on screen is all set to turn grey for an episode of Savdhaan India. The actor will be seen making a comeback on the tube after a long time and doing something drastically different. Talking about the same, Kinshuk says, “I am absolutely thrilled to play a grey character in Savdhaan India. It gave me a different high. Once in a while it’s good to break the monotony and do something challenging. I had a great time shooting the episode. My only concern now is how the viewers will react. Hope they like me in this new avatar.”

The shoot took place in a small village called Natata in Jaipur where the actor portrayed an evil village ruffian named Uday, clad in dhoti kurta and mouthing chaste Marwadi dialogues. While filming the sequence, he also took some time off to explore the village and interact with the villagers. Talking about the experience, he says, “I live in Mumbai where women fight for issues such as security, women empowerment and financial independence. But here, women are fighting for basic amenities like toilets! This is such a huge contrast. During breaks, I spoke to a few women here who were watching the shoot. When I asked them about the problems they faced, I was shocked to know that they didn’t even have access to toilets. The disparity was quite disturbing.”
