Kishori to make a comeback on TV

Veteran actress Kishori Shahane who was previously seen in popular shows like Ghar Ek Mandir and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, will return to television in the upcoming show, Nagarjun: Ek Yoddha. The actress has been roped in to play antagonist Niketan Dheer’s mother in the show. Kishori takes three hours to complete her make up routine. Additionally, she is also made to wear a heavy crown that costs almost '1 lakh. When we contacted Kishori, she said, “The production company jokingly tells me I need to protect the crown on my own. On a serious note, wearing the crown is taking a toll on me — every time I wear it, I get a headache. But as a professional I can’t let these things affect me. I try to focus on the role and deliver my best.”

Kishori admits that though the routine is tedious, she wouldn’t want it any other way. She says, “I believe that as an actor one must keep surprising the audience by trying out different roles. This is precisely the reason why I said yes to this show. I’m passionate about acting and I hope this role entertains viewers.”
