Sultanpur girl Nishtha Sharma, from Team Neeti, was crowned the winner of The Voice India Kids in the glittering finale held on Sunday. The proud winner took home a cool prize money of '25 lakhs along with the trophy and a recording contract from Universal Music. Nishtha competed against Pooja Insa and Kavya Limaye to clinch the title. The finale was graced by Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, who cheered for the contestants amid much excitement and fanfare.
Sharing her excitement on the big win, Nishtha says, “I feel on the top of the world. It’s not just me but it’s Team Neeti that has won the competition. I was quite tensed, since I was competing with Pooja and Kavya in the finale. Both had previously had a lot of public support, because they have been in the danger zone. So, I was nervous if I would receive the same love from the public since they had never voted for me previously. But now I am happy with the result.”
So, what gave her an edge over others in the finale “I think my sargam worked in my favour. I think the viewers appreciated the classical and semi-classical songs that I performed,” signs off Nishtha.
