Pavitra Poonia injured on sets of Ye Hai Mohabbatein

Pavitra Poonia, who plays a lawyer in Ye Hai Mohabbatein, recently suffered had a minor accident while shooting a key sequence. Pavitra was pretty engrossed in the scene when she ended up injuring herself. The sequence required Pavitra’s character, Nidhi to be beaten up by protagonist of the show Ishita (played by Divyanka Tripathi). The scene involved Pavitra running to save herself from being hit by Ishita. In the process the actress sprained her ankle. The shoot had to be halted following the incident as Pavitra was in immense pain. She had to be rushed to a doctor for immediate medical aid.

Confirming the incident, Pavitra says, “My character requires me to constantly walk in heels, and at times, even run in them. It gets a little tough to shoot sequences which require me to run. While shooting this particular scene, I had to run with all my might in order to save myself. My heels were trapped in the camera trolley and I ended up with a sprained ankle. I was in unspeakable pain screaming for help. I was given medical aid immediately that helped ease my ordeal. I am a little better now.”

The actress has been advised bed rest for two weeks but the gruelling schedules are not permitting the actress to be away from the shoot for such a long period. The actress too is keen on resuming soon so that the show does not suffer. She adds, “I cannot afford to miss out from the scenes as it is the high point of our leap. The medicines are helping me. I will be resuming soon.”
