Jamai Raja actor Ravi Dubey is notorious in the television industry for his ‘perfectionist’ attitude when it comes it his work. And as we recently found out, this attitude is not restricted to just his acting. The actor was supposed to do a ‘warrior’ act for a his performance at the recent Zee Gold Awards with his good friend Gurmeet Choudhary on the powerful track Malhari from Bajirao Mastani. However, it seems the actor wasn’t pleased with the designs given to him for costumes, so much so that he rejected eight costumes before the performance. What’s more, the actor was so unhappy with the designs that he finally decided to turn designer and made it himself. A source reveals, “Ravi’s act required him to look and perform with a certain attitude, energy and intensity. However, he wasn’t happy with the costumes given to him as he felt he wasn’t looking the part. Then the actor finally decided to design it himself!” Talking about the same, Ravi says, “The performance required me to do a few stunts and jumps. I didn’t want a heavy costume that would pose a hindrance. So I chose leather pants and a black vest made out of sheer material and teamed it up with accessories to suit the part.” While the performance and Ravi’s dancing skills garnered much attention, the actor got a lot of appreciation for the costume as well.
