Revealed: Richa’s look for Cabaret

After playing a fiery small town girl in the critically acclaimed, Cannes winner Masaan, Richa Chadha is all set to enthrall the audience with her bold avatar in Pooja Bhatt’s upcoming film Cabaret. The actress will be essaying the role of a call girl and a cabaret dancer. Ojas Rajani known for styling Bollywood beauties such as Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif among many others will be giving Richa a sensuous look for the film.

Ojas feels that Richa’s look in the film is one of a kind. “Richa will be seen in an avatar that has not been donned by any Bollywood actress before. We have given her a look like that of a Victoria’s Secret model— very rich and international in its own way. Pooja Bhatt, gave me the complete liberty to experiment with Richa’s look. I have been working with her since Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahi days and she has always been supportive,” Ojas says.

Shedding light on Richa’s look in detail Ojas says, “We were careful not to make her look like Helen because that is Bollywood’s idea of what cabaret dancers look like everywhere. Richa’s look has a very Western, Hollywood feel. A high ponytail with big eyelashes, and black lipstick. We have used her own hair but given her an afro look for a song, with stars all over her face. The look is very dramatic to say the least. I’ve also played with smoky eyes, bold champagne lips that only Madonna usually does, to go with her catsuits. We have focused on making her look like an international ramp model rather than what a cheap Bollywood song looks like.”
