Saas-Bahu bond lights up the sets
Call it a tussle for airtime, but several female co-stars often end up loathing each other on the sets.
Call it a tussle for airtime, but several female co-stars often end up loathing each other on the sets. The catfights and bickerings have become a common occurrence, but are beautifully camouflaged by a show of fake cordiality by the warring parties. However, a far cry from all this is the growing bond between co-stars Ridhima Pandit and Pallavi Pradhan, who play bahu and saas respectively in the show Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant. A little birdie from the sets tells us that the love for Marathi has brought the two actresses together. They are constantly seen talking to each other in Marathi between the shots. In fact, they even end up talking to other cast members in the language, attracting curious glances, as not everybody understands it. The actresses keep pouring their hearts out to each other. This camaraderie has obviously not gone unnoticed. Tongues have begun wagging about how the duo has become inseparable in just a short span of time.
Commenting on the same, Ridhima says, “Well, Pallaviji and I bond really well on the set since we are both Maharashtrians. We have a common mother-tongue, so it’s very natural for us to develop a deep bond. Lot of people on the set don’t understand Marathi, so we often use it as a code language to discuss everything under the sun. Pallaviji is an experienced actress and I get to learn a lot from her. I always look up to her for advice. She is very close to me.” Pallavi, on her part, adds, “There is a special connection with Ridhima for me and she is like a daughter to me. We bond because of Marathi and Gujarati both. I am married to a Gujarati while Ridhima has a Gujrati mother and a Maharashtrian father,” adds Pallavi.
