The producers of mythological series Siya Ke Ram seem to have gone the whole nine yards to ensure that the sets erected at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City set a new bar for grandeur and opulence. We travelled all the way from Mumbai to Hyderabad to get you the feel of the much-anticipated Vanvaas track, which is currently being picturised in the show
A made for each other moment between Ram and Sita — In this scene, Lord Ram and Sita are seated on the throne of Ayodhya enjoying a moment of togetherness, oblivious to the evil plans of Mata Kaikeyi. The lens here has captured actors Ashish and Madirakshi beautifully. And the chemistry between these two talented actors extends off screen too.
The father-son exchange — This master sequence has the entire family in action. King Dashrath is devastated to see his heir to the throne banished for 14 long years. Not able to come to terms with the situation at hand, Dashrath has an emotional exchange with his son Lord Ram telling him how difficult it is for a father to let his son go away. This sequence, with its sheer depth, invokes deep emotions in the viewers too.
Ram-Lakshman’s quintessential ‘bhaichara’ – Actors Ashish Sharma and Karan Suchak indulge in some fraternal love in this shot, setting up the stage for Lakshman’s emotional declaration — “Not without you brother, tu jahan main wahan.” And like the lead couple, the amiability between these two amazing actors too translates off screen very well. When they are not shooting, the duo is often seen bonding with each other on the sets.
Lady in black- Mata Kaikeyi —Kaikeyi’s costume in this scene seems to declare in protest — “I will wear only black till I have my way.” The starkly black attire brings to the fore the devious and evil intentions that Kaikeyi harbours for her stepson Ram. The evil queen has finally succeeded in making King Dashrath give in to her stubbornness.
Vanvaas track begins — The much-awaited Vanvaas track begins in this scene after Dashrath relents to Kaikeyi’s stubbornness. This scene shows the trio Ram, Sita and Lakshman setting out for their Vanvaas. Dressed in simple clothes, the trio steps out from the lap of luxury to brace a life that’s full of hardship and perils.
Ram-Sita close-up — This scene gives a rare glimpse into how the hand-woven simple clothes have replaced the silk robes and how the beads have taken the place of intricate heavy jewellery. The drastic transformation and the new look drives home the point that adaptability to situations is the key to happiness.
