Sunny Deol gives Ruhi Punjabi lessons

Not many know that child actor Ruhanika Dhawan is related to the Deol family. Ruhanika, popularly known as Ruhi, has been learning Punjabi from Sunny Deol. We hear that the actor was not happy when he found out that little Ruhi isn’t fluent in her mother tongue. According to a source, Ruhanika, who is connected to Deol family, went to their place with her parents this week to meet Sunny. Sunny gave some tips to Ruhanika, who plays a Punjabi girl in Ye Hai Mohabbatein, as well.

Sunny asked her about her role in the show. When Ruhanika said that she only knows English and Hindi, the actor felt compelled to teach her some basics of the Punjabi language. “Sunny said to her that she should know her mother tongue and gave her some Punjabi lessons. He is keen that the child actor learn the language,” said a source.

Psst! Even though the show has gone off air, the team of Beintehaa was felicitated at the Kalakaar awards, Kolkata. Lead actress Preetika Rao says, “This year was my debut in television, so having received the Best Actress Award so soon is a huge honour. It’s a jury award and my sister Amrita too had won the same for Bollywood a couple of years ago. I feel like I’m following in her footsteps.”
