'Hijacked' Mexican plane turns out to be drill; Twitter angry

Mexico: A viral video of a plane being hijacked has spooked the Internet, but it was later clarified that the chilling scenes were all a part of a drill.
The Twitteratti are not happy though as they feel such sensitive content had no business to be leaked.
The video was first posted online in early October by a concerned Netizen.
In the clip, one of the kidnappers can be seen yelling, "There is no time, we will start killing passengers."
“A plane got hijacked with passengers in Mexico hope everyone is safe,” wrote the Twitter user who shared the footage.
Since then, the video has got over three million views and 34,000 retweets.

But people soon started sharing their concerns about where the hijacking had taken place.
Their worry was disspelled when the Metro reported that the clip was from a drill by a Mexican company, Interjet, and was for staff training.
When people came to know the truth about the video, several Twitterites expressed anger and questioned how a training video -- on such a sensitive matter -- could be leaked.
This has to joke because how are they getting them rifles on that plane and let 1 person record it.

Sooooo how is it that you’re the only one who’s recording and getting faces while everyone else has their hands up against the seats?

As a former flight attendant I believe this is a drill! When you’re instructed as hostages you follow. There would be no time to record so calmly and there’s no way hijackers would let you record.... it’s a high stress and high pressure situation so you won’t be thinking this

The airline later published an explanation.
In a statement, the airline said it was a staged event to help crew deal with possible terror threats and that it was held at Ciudad del Carmen International Airport and not in the air.
"Authorities of the three levels of government are coordinated to implement protocols to rescue passengers," the statement read, the Mirror reported.
"Therefore, the videos circulating on social networks and where a plane Interjet observed were recorded during the drill," it added.
