Imran's poor Parliament attendance: 6 per cent in 4 years
Imran Khan has only been present 22 days in four parliamentary years in the National Assembly.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan only attended six per cent of the parliamentary proceedings in the last four years, records suggested.
Mr Khan has only been present 22 days in four parliamentary years in the National Assembly. He missed 366 proceedings.
Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-e-Azam) parliamentary leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi attended 14 per cent proceedings till the end of four parliamentary years, putting him at second spot in the list of top absentees.
The figures — released by Free and Fair Election Network — showed the attendance of the legislators in National Assembly from June 2013 to March 2017. Except Pakistan People’s Party, the leaders from the Opposition barely graced the house to participate in parliamentary proceedings.
