Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday rejected Afghanistan’s allegations that Pakistan was supporting terrorism, expressing concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the neighbouring country.
Chairing the National Security Committee meet in Islamabad, Mr Sharif said Pakistan was not only committed to a peaceful and stable Afghanistan but was also working with all regional and global initiatives to reach that end.
It was observed at the meet that Pakistan was the only country which had achieved clear and measurable success against terrorism, despite its limited capacity and at huge human and economic costs, said an official statement.
