Dissident PTI leader faces fire of Imran Khan
The complaints were filed by Gulalai's ex-secretary Noor Zaman Khan, Arif Marwat and Saleem Nawaz.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday filed a complaint in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking investigation against dissident party leader Ayesha Gulalai and her father Shamsul Qayyum for allegedly being involved in corruption.
The complaints were filed by Gulalai’s ex-secretary Noor Zaman Khan, Arif Marwat and Saleem Nawaz. The PTI leaders claimed that Ayesha Gulalai and her father were involved in corrupt practices and called for investigation.
The complaints have also been forward for Khyber Pakhtunkhaw chief minister’s Complaint Cell along with director of the anti-corruption establish-ment and director general of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab (accountability) commission.
The three PTI leaders had accused Gulalai of being involved in corruption after she leveled allegations of female harassment against party chairman Imran Khan. Gulalai’s former assistant Noor Zaman claimed that he was also involved in corruption with Ayesha Gulalai. Noor Zaman claimed that he had remained silent about Ayesha Gulalai’s financial corruption since she had promised her son an employment as a government servant.
“Neither did she give me any money nor did she have my son employed,” he said.
Ayesha Gulalai had held a news conference last week in which she had alleged that PTI chief Imran Khan used to send her inappropriate text messages.
