Sex trafficker arrested for luring teen into sex slavery
Russian police were tipped off about the plot and staged an operation in Moscow to protect the minor girl.
Russia: A Russian schoolgirl, has been saved from a life of sex slavery in a police sting this week. She was allegedly lured into selling her virginity for more than USD 7000.
On Tuesday evening, the known sex trafficker was arrested in a police sting in the city of Moscow. He and his accomplice allegedly made contact with the 16-year-old girl online.
Local newspaper, Komsomolskaya Pravda, reported that Russian police had detained a 32-year-old man, known only as Said. He had allegedly attempted to sell the girl into a life of sex slavery, reports news.com.au.
Russian police were tipped off about the plot and staged an operation in Moscow to protect the minor girl.
Once the deal was done and money was exchanged, police pounced, arresting Said and charging him with human trafficking offences.
Said's alleged accomplice, Yuri, has not yet been charged for his role in the plot.
