Istanbul: A Turkish news presenter broke down and started crying on television while reporting the story of a child being operated on without anaesthesia, in Aleppo.

Turgay Guler could not help but break down, when the video showed a child reciting verses of Quran while undergoing surgery, as reported in Daily Mail.

However, the video has not been verified by the website.

Seeing the video, apparently shot by a medic in the city of Syria, which came under massive military action, Guler started crying profusely, incapable of commenting on the video relayed. Even though it is assumed that the video was shot in Syria, the location has not been confirmed yet.

Of late, Syria has been under attack from the Russian and the Syrian armed forces of President Bashar al-Assad, to drive out the Islamic State insurgents out of their stronghold, Aleppo. In that regard, both the armies have received severe criticism from the United Nations, for indiscriminate killings and for not letting vital supplies reach the civilians stranded in the war-torn region.

On Saturday, the evacuation process was halted, even though the Syrian officials appealed an evacuation of the injured from the Shi'ite villages of al-Foua and Kefraya in Idlib province.
