Bhai seems to have hijacked the biggest festival release slots next year — Eid and Diwali. For Eid, it will be Kabir Khan’s next film while on Diwali, Salman will be seen in his sister Alvira Khan’s production.
Salman has always been someone who likes to do the unexpected. Whispers from Galaxy, his home in Bandra, suggested that he would no longer work in his family productions. The rumours gained more steam when Arbaaz Khan’s Dabangg 3 was put on hold.
But now Salman seems to have made an exception for his sister. The film will be directed by his Andaz Apna Apna director Raj Kumar Santoshi who hasn’t had a release for a while now. His last venture was the failed comedy Phata Poster Nikla Hero in 2013. It was also heard that three projects that Santoshi was supposed to helm, were shelved soon after. But then trust Salman to stand by the underdog.
A reliable source says, “Santoshi’s film is a powerful drama of the kind Salman has never done before. With this film and Kabir Khan’s next, he looks all set for 2017.”
