Akshay Kumar has a few more inches than the Khans, says Twinkle Khanna

Twinkle Khanna, is all set to make her maiden appearance on Koffee With Karan on the weekend, and is already setting tongues wagging, days before her appearance.

The actress-turned-author drops some serious bombs during the show, with the piece de resistance being when Karan Johar — being Karan Johar — asks her a simple one. The question was, what does hubby Akshay Kumar have that the Khan superstars — Shah Rukh, Salman, Aamir — don’t.

“A few extra inches,” is Twinkle’s wise and all-knowing quip. She compounds the risqué response by saying that Karan ought to stop looking at her husband’s crotch. Akshay, of course, doesn’t know where to look.

“Even Karan, known to be brazen and unapologetic about innuendos, was embarrassed,” says a source close to the couple. “But that’s Twinkle for you; she tells it like it is. Akshay, who is just the opposite, has gotten used to her no-holds-barred ways. In fact, for the longest time, he resisted being accompanied by his wife to Karan’s show. But Karan and Twinkle are childhood friends. He finally persuaded her to come. Akshay’s only request was that his outspoken wife not embarrass him. Looks like she didn’t pay attention.”

Phallic jokes seem to be the flavour of this season for Karan’s show. The season started off with Shah Rukh Khan commenting on Ranveer Singh’s ‘padded underwear’ in Befikre. “If it’s not padded, I’m a fan,” the mega-star complimented Ranveer.
