Ali Fazal’s Hollywood dreams delays Fukrey 2

The makers of Fukrey 2 have decided to push the shoot of the sequel to December.

Produced by Excel Entertainment, the multi-starrer Fukrey had gone on to be a sleeper hit in 2010 and six years after the movie, the makers have announced a sequel to the film. The sequel is slated to have the same primary cast comprising Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Richa Chadda among others. And once again, it will be directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba.

In a quick chat with Varun and Richa, they had confirmed to us that Fukrey 2 was to go on floors in October this year, however, thanks to Ali’s schedule, the movie has been pushed back by a couple of months.

Ali, who is currently on a high with the praises coming his way for Happy Bhag Jayegi, will soon commence his second Hollywood venture, Victoria and Abdul. He will be starring alongside Judi Dench and has already committed his dates to the movie. Says Ali, “Fukrey 2 has been pushed to December, since I’m doing Victoria and Abdul and have allotted my dates to them.”
