Emraan kicks off Azhar’s second schedule in Hyderabad
Emraan Hashmi, who for the past one year is fully committed to Azhar — a biopic on the cricketer— has begun shooting the film’s next schedule in Hyderabad. The city is Mohammad Azharuddin’s hometown and hence director Tony D’souza will explore the journey of the cricketer’s earlier days in the city. The first schedule of the film began in London where Emraan shot major portions in a stadium. The actor had trained for the role in Mumbai for over two months before the shoot began and at that time, Azhar had flown down to Mumbai to give Emraan some lessons in batting. Emraan had then, complained to us about wrist pain, thanks to Azhar’s signature flick shots.
For the second schedule that starts this week, preparations began much in advance. A source said, “Director Tony flew to the city in the last week of October to finalise locations. They are going to have a lot of outdoor shoots and in a few grounds where Azhar used to train initially. Some of the shops where he regularly ate will be covered too. Azhar also had a huge house in Banjara Hills, which he later sold due to personal problems. That area is also a shoot location.”
Azhar himself is expected to join the shoot in Hyderabad. “He wants to see how things are going. He gives his inputs whenever there’s a disagreement,” adds the source.
Meanwhile, Emraan has just wrapped up a music video with Esha Gupta in Goa before flying off to Hyderabad.
