Kamal Haasan is not amused by reports about him working on two films simultaneously — T.K. Rajeev Kumar’s untitled film which would also star Haasan’s daughter Shruti, and director Mouli’s comedy.

Dismissing the reports, Kamal says, “When have I ever done two films together in the last 20 years Prior to that I used to work on several projects at the same time.” The actor put an end to his multi-tasking habits once he became a father as he wanted to spend more time with his children. And now several actors down south are following the same model of work, Rajinikanth being one of them.

Kamal recalls how his colleague and rival learnt to take it easy. “There was a time when Rajiniji would be shooting round-the-clock. One day he had arranged for an outdoor shoot in the sweltering summer heat right in front of his office, so he could rush back inside after every shot to cool off in the air-conditioning. I was riding past in my motorbike when I decided to drop in to say hello. Rajiniji asked me what I was doing zooming around on a two-wheeler instead of shooting. I told him I had taken time off.” It was from then onwards, Kamal says, that Rajinikanth too decided that he would do only one film at a time.
