‘I’m the most romantic person in the world’
Controversy’s favourite child talks about his family, siblings, fear of rings and more during his visit to the capital
He came, he conquered and he created a controversy. “We can’t compare terrorists to artists” has gone viral. Who are we talking about Of course, controversy’s favourite child — Salman Khan. Having said that, it was a rare occasion, at least for Delhiites, to witness bhai aka Salman Khan making an appearance, that too along with his family including mother Salma Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, and little one Ahil. Besides his comments on the heated political climate, Uri attack by Pakistan, the (fitting) surgical strike by the Indian army, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association passing a resolution to ban Pakistani actors from the industry in the wake of these attacks and more...the superstar was seen taking out time to happily reflect on his family members.
Baby Ahil Salman, as usual was late for the event. But he cleverly defended himself and quickly blamed little Sharma-Khan, Ahil for the same. When people gushed and told him that he was lying, he coolly answered, “Hey, he can’t defend himself right now. He is the safest option.” Little Ahil also made a huge cry for attention when mamu Salman was speaking about him, and mamu was quick to pay attention. He called him over to the podium to plant him a kiss. “Our world revolves around him these days. He is a bundle of joy,” he gushed.
Arpita and Alvira “They are poles apart when it comes to tastes and preferences,” informed Salman as he started pulling younger sister Arpita’s leg. He continued, “One of them really likes high-end, expensive things and the other one likes cheap, street stuff.” When asked whom has he been exactly referring to, he disclosed, “The one with the expensive taste is Arpita and the other is Mrs. Agnihotri.”
Music and Arbaaz Salman’s stint with singing isn’t unknown. When quizzed if has a plan to ever conduct a concert, the actor said, “Firstly, I can’t sing live. My voice has to be (musically) treated 10 times before reaching consumers. Secondly, I am not a trained singer. Arbaaz is the only person in the family to have ever gotten a professional training.”
Lord of the Rings Salman who was here to promote his brand Being Human’s foray into the world of jewellery, in an audio video promotional clip, was spotted chit-chatting with actress Jacqueline Fernandez about his phobia of rings. When Jacqueline tried to convince him that rings are uber romantic and one shouldn’t be afraid of them, the actor countered her with: ‘They are romantic, that’s is exactly why I am afraid.’ When probed to explain his stance over the same during the conference, Salman laughed, “First of all, I am the most romantic person in the whole wide world. About the phobia of rings .I think it due to encountering a series of heartbreaks and failures. Yes, that’s about it. It’s deep-rooted in me now.”
