Even as Mohenjo Daro hit theatres yesterday, Hrithik Roshan says that he’s not nervous about the release, but curious to know how the audience will accept it. Excerpts from a special chat with the actor:

Mohenjo Daro (MD) is your first release in almost two years. Nervous I’m curious, not nervous or anxious. True success is to enjoy doing what you love. Mohenjo Daro is already a victory in that sense. You went through traumatic personal problems and health issues while MD was being filmed. Did it affect your performance No it didn’t. Yes, I broke my ankle and it was a terrible thing to happen, but it just reminds you that anything can happen in the next second. My lows keep me very curious about life and I look forward to it wide-eyed.

Ashutosh Gowariker and you — what’s your relationship like This is a man who gave me a film like Jodhaa Akbar. Also, he’s a friend. It’s easy for actors in the film to silently stand by him and his vision.

In Jodhaa Akbar you had Aishwarya Rai to romance. Here you have a newcomer For the role of Chaani we needed someone who could portray the simplicity and purity of those times. Pooja Hegde fit the role perfectly.

How did you refer a character that goes back 4,000 years Regardless of time, human emotions will always remain the same. So, creating a character to fit those times was easy.

What’s your take on MD clashing with he Akshay Kumar’s Rustom The clash is regrettable. But look at it in the right spirit — with grace, friendship and a healthy sense of competition.
