It’s Badshah, not Mika for Salman’s Sultan
Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Sultan has been in the news quite a lot recently for its soundtrack. While first it was Arijit Singh, who got a taste of Bhai’s treatment, it seems he’s not the only one to be given the short end of the stick by Salman. Ask his long-time collaborator Mika Singh.
We had earlier reported that Salman had taken Mika’s version of a song in Sultan out and dubbed it in his own voice. However, the truth seems to be that the actor had instead gone to Mika’s rival Badshah for the song. If sources are to be believed, the song, which features in Sultan’s trailer, was originally sung by Mika in Haryanvi. However, Salman apparently did not like the version and went ahead and roped in Badshah for the same. Now we hear that this is the version that has made it to the trailer.
However, unlike Arijit, who wrote a lengthy and public apology to Salman and became the eye of a storm, Mika Singh has decided to keep quiet about it and doesn’t seem to want any unnecessary media attention.
A source explained, “Mika and Salman have known each other for years now. It’s not the first time that this has happened with Mika. Even during Kick, Mika had sung Jumme Ki Raat Hai and Salman had later re-recorded the song in his own voice. However, this time Salman has re-recorded the song with Mika’s rival Badshah.”
Mika did not respond to our query. However, the film’s production house has denied the news.
