Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu signed for Varun Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’

Jacqueline and Taapsee are reportedly finalized for Karisma's and Rambha's characters from the first part.

: There has been intense speculation about the lead actress opposite Varun Dhawan in ‘Judwaa 2’ since the time the project was announced.

There were initially reports that Parineeti Chopra was in consideration after her sizzling chemistry with Varun in the song ‘Jaaneman Aah’ from ‘Dishoom’. His ‘Main Tera Hero’ co-star Ileana D’Cruz was also reported to have been considered for the film.

There were also rumours that Varun’s much-loved pairing with Alia Bhatt would be repeated for the film. However, Varun had recently taken to Twitter, contradicting a report that stated that Alia was signed for the film, and that he will soon announce the names.

Varun’s ‘Dishoom’ co-star Jacqueline was always in the news related to the film and it seems that the actress has now finally been signed on for the film. According to reports, she will step into the shoes of Karisma Kapoor’s character from the earlier part. Along with Jacqueline, ‘Pink’ star Taapsee Pannu has also reportedly been signed for the film in the role of Rambha’s character.

Varun’s father David Dhawan, who had helmed ‘Judwaa’, will also direct the sequel. It would now be interesting to see if Varun will be able to fill the massive shoes of Salman Khan’s in the film.
