Although the publicist promised media interaction, the actress chose to sneak away after she got the award.
Katrina Kaif was presented with the Smita Patil Memorial Award for Best Actor by the socio-cultural organisation, Priyadarshini Academy in Mumbai on Monday afternoon.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari honoured the actress with the award. A day before to the award ceremony, the news of Katrina being given this award had spread, more so because of the trolls that made fun of the actress, who is not quite known for her acting skills.
Katrina herself did not speak at the function and actually opted to sneak out after the award ceremony, even though the publicist handling the event had promised group media interaction. When contacted, the actress’ spokesperson informed, “Media interactions with Katrina Kaif was never planned at the award ceremony.”
However, Juhi Chawla, who was also honoured with an award at the event, offered her fullest support to Kat. “As far as I remember, few years ago, Katrina delivered 10 super hit films in a row. She truly deserves this award since she is a beautiful and committed actor,” she said.
