Katrina Kaif’s loss is Jacqueline Fernandez’s gain, again

Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandez’s respective film careers seem to be tied by fate. The latter has benefited multiple times from Kat’s professional slip-ups, much like how Ranveer Singh benefited from Ranbir Kapoor’s mistakes.

Says a prominent film producer, “Both the girls are hard working, professional and ruthlessly ambitious. They also have a similar personality — non-Hindi speaking, strong foreign accent, etc. So the roles that Kat didn’t sign up for, went to Jacqueline.”

Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick for instance, that was a turning point for Jacqueline’s career, was first offered to Katrina. “Because Katrina was involved with Ranbir at the time, Salman and Kat had mutually decided to not work together. Then Katrina also decided she won’t work with Ranbir in Roy and this time too, Jacky reaped the benefits of the situation. It was a flop, but Jacqueline was noticed,” adds the producer.

Now that she has missed out of a few fat projects already, Katrina is looking to rebuild her career and helping her is Salman again, who offered her the lead in his home production directed by Tarun Mansukhani (of Dostana fame). As one knows, Ms Fernandez has bagged that too.
