Mohenjo Daro to be Ashutosh Gowariker’s shortest film
Ashutosh Gowariker has a reputation for making long films. It’s a different story that few have complained about the length because they are well-made pieces of work, but these films are long by regular Bollywood standards.
For instance, the run time of Lagaan was around 234 minutes (3 hours, 54 minutes). Then came Swades, which had a run time of approximately 210 minutes (3 hours, 30 minutes), followed by Jodha Akbar which was 214 minutes long (3 hours 34 minutes). What’s Your Raashee and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey had a run time of 213 minutes (3 hours, 33 minutes) and 168 minutes (2 hours, 48 minutes) respectively.
But his latest project Mohenjo Daro’s run time will be around 150 minutes (2 hours, 30 minutes) only, making it Gowariker’s shortest film ever.
An epic love story starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde, it is all set to release on August 12 this year.
