Ranveer Singh will fly back to Mumbai from Paris for Mangeshkar award

One extraordinarily fine morning Ranveer Singh received a call from a familiar voice. “Main Lata Mangeshkar bol rahi hoon,” said the voice which went on to invite him to come for the Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar Award. The award has been instituted to honour the Mangeshkar patriarch on his death anniversary, which falls on April 24. And this year Ranveer has been the chosen one.

A delighted Ranveer has decided to fly back from Paris to Mumbai and then drive down to Pune to receive the award.

Says a source, “At that time Ranveer will be shooting in Paris for Aditya Chopra’s Befikre. He will fly back to Mumbai on April 24 just to receive the prestigious award. Also, getting a day off from Adi (Aditya Chopra) won’t be a problem since Adi is a huge Lata bhakt himself, like his father Yash Chopra used to be.”
