Richa Chaddha is known to get into the skin of her character for roles. The actress apparently has a curious habit of using a different perfume or fragrance for each character she plays. She also ensues that the fragrance is in accordance to the personality of her role.
Taking her quirk a bit further this time, Richa has ordered for an extremely expensive and rare perfume for her upcoming project, Karan Anshuman’s web series, Powerplay. The series reportedly has Richa and Angad Bedi portraying characters eerily similar to Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia.
The actress called for a handful of these perfume bottles, each of which has a five-figure sum attached to it, so that the stock could sustain for the entire shoot duration.
Richa was introduced to the rare luxury fragrance during a trip to Paris last year. The actress seems to love all things French, previously even having dated the French actor-director Franck Gastambide.
Incidentally, Ranveer Singh too is known to resort to a similar type of quirk, having done this during the making of Lootera, Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani. Vidya Balan is another actress, who determinedly works on olfactory associations for her role. We hope this French connection helps Richa in her upcoming project, about which she wishes to remain silent!
