Salman Khan, Eros settle out of court

Eros and Salman Khan Productions have come to an out-of-court settlement with regard to shared profits between the two entities. According to sources, Salman Khan’s production house sent a legal notice to Eros to recover the overflow profit of Rs 46 crores for the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. When Eros received the notice, they proposed an out-of-court settlement, suggesting that they pay Rs 30 crores instead of Rs 46 crores, making up for the losses they suffered due to the production house’s previous films. Apparently, Eros had incurred a loss of Rs 10 crores and Rs 6 crores over Jai Ho and Hero respectively.

A source from the industry said, “Salman Khan Productions had sent several reminders to Eros regarding the due payment, but since no one acted upon that, they sent a legal notice. But Eros had suffered a loss of a few crores during the time of Jai Ho and Hero, so they deducted the amount and gave a post-dated cheque for the same.”

Salman’s and Eros ‘s spokespersons remained unavailable for comment.
